Will you send me a catalog of all your products?

We had many reasons for creating this website the three most important were to cut down on the cost of printing and mailing information; second, which follows the first, is to keep prices down we had to cut back on printing and mailing; and last was to keep from cutting down more trees to make paper.  Another advantage of Internet technology is that we can update the website regularly and pet owners can see the latest items right away.  When using printed pages owners would have to call almost weekly to see what was new and have the latest materials sent to them, you can imagine the cost that would entail.  Additionally it takes much longer for things to make it to the printed page than it takes to get on the website.  Having said all this, please feel free to print out any pages that you like or want to share with a friend.  We are in the process of making the site an e-commerce website so you can order right here.  This update is for your convenience, but we will be here should you have a question or comment.

How do I know what size urn to purchase?

The rule of thumb in the funeral industry is to allow 1 cubic inch of urn space for every pound of body weight.  However, we must keep in mind what our pet weighed under normal, healthy conditions.  Often when they are extremely ill or elderly, they lose weight, however when choosing an urn it would be best to choose one which would fit your pet at his/her healthy weight.  When the size of the urn is close to the weight of the pet, you may consider moving up a size.  Remember, if for any reason you are not satisfied, just return the urn and we will either issue a credit on your credit card or send you a company check for the full amount by return mail.

Where can I find my breed of dog/cat?

To find an urn for your particular breed of dog or cat, first check out the Figurine Collection.  If you cannot find your particular breed of dog or cat there, then visit our Ceramiccraft section and check the decal collection for one particular to your breed of dog or cat.  We can put the decal of your choice on any urn in our ceramic collection.   In fact, we can even make a coffee mug with one of these beautiful decals on it for you or as a gift for a friend who has lost a pet.  Please e-mail us for help if you still don't find what you are looking for.

How long will it be until I receive my order?

The answer is not a simple one because it depends on what you order.  Many of our urns can be shipped out the same day, but if we must engrave them or a nameplate we can usually ship them within 48-72 hours.  Figurine urns take a while longer perhaps 2 to 4 weeks.  It depends on how busy it is in the workshop.  You can ask us for a more precise time it will take to ship when you call or send your order.  We'll be glad to let you know when to expect your order and will do our utmost to get it to you promptly.  If you give us your email address you will also be notified when we are shipping your purchase.

My dog doesn't look exactly like any pedigree, what can I do?

In some cases, another pedigree can be made to look like your dog.  For example, a German Shepherd may be made to look like a Belgian Shepherd.  You might also be pleasantly surprised at how much paint will do, so be sure to look at the form of the animal and not just it's pedigree.  This is especially true for dogs of mixed lineage, like Sharon & Terry's pack.  Look for the breed that most resembles your pet and try to imagine that figurine with your pet's markings.

There are other choices:

  1. Choose one of our PhotoUrns™ or PhotoFrames™ urns where you can put a favorite photo of your best friend and personalize it further with a nameplate.
  2. Select a Granite Urn which you can personalize with a nameplate and may even add a kitty or puppy angel on top.
  3. Another choice is Onyx which may also be personalized with our brass heart nameplate on top.
  4. Visit our Artist's Corner to find a truly unique urn for your unique pet.
  5. In the Cermicraft section you may find a nicely shaped urn and select a decal that will fit in with your decor.  These can also be personalized.

We hope these choices will help you find a suitable final resting place for your pet.

Do you offer pet cremation or burial at your funeral home?

At Reflections Pet Funeral Home, we offer both private and communal cremations.  Burial is not allowed at our location. Private cremation means that your pet is cremated individually and his/her ashes are returned to you.  We issue each private cremation a special numbered, metal ID tag to keep track of your pet and to assure you that it is truly your pet.  We return all pets in a ceramic urn unless you choose to upgrade your pet's urn.  Communal cremations are pets whose owners choose not to receive their ashes.  These pets are cremated together and we  dispose of their ashes.  If you have further questions, visit our Reflections Pet Funeral Home page.
