I rescued my little mustang gelding on April 11, 2002. I say this is his birth date because we only knew the year he was born and April 11th was like a new start for him. He taught me so much in the years I had him. Going through thanksgiving without him this year is very hard and I'm in mourning over him. I found him in one of our back pastures that November evening. I said my good byes and my vet put him to sleep in my arms. He would see me come down the driveway to the barn and grunt as loud as he could. He was the best riding horse ever and never ceased to amaze me...I love you very much, Max and I will miss you dearly...sleep well, old buddy...

CALICO WAS MY DAUGHTER'S GUINEA PIG THAT I GOT FOR HER ON HER 9TH BIRTHDAY. WE ALSO PURCHASED HIS BROTHER BUTTERSCOTCH. WE LOVED THE LITTLE GUYS THEY ARE SO CUTE. EVERY TIME WE WOULD OPEN THE REFRIGERATOR THE LITTLE PIGS SQUEAL, BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ARE GOING TO GET VEGETABLES. TWO WEEKS AGO WE NOTICED A GROWTH ON CALICO'S SIDE. I TOOK HIM TO THE VET AND THE DOCTOR SAID THAT HE WOULD DIE BECAUSE THE TUMOR WOULD CONTINUE TO GROW. I DECIDED TO HAVE IT REMOVED. I TOOK CALICO FOR SURGERY ON MONDAY NOV. 27TH. I DIDN'T FEEL GOOD ABOUT WHAT THE OUTCOME WOULD BE, BUT HOPED FOR THE BEST. THE DOCTOR CALLED ME AT 11:18 AND TOLD ME CALICO DIDN'T MAKE IT. I WAS CRUSHED AND MY DAUGHTER WAS EVEN MORE CRUSHED. WE LOVED THAT LITTLE GUY. WE WENT AND PICKED HIM UP AND BURIED HIM IN OUR BACKYARD. WE WILL MISS YOU CALICO. Smokey loved to share Doritos with me. I could have a bag of something else and she would show no interest but pull out a bag of Doritos (Cool Ranch-her favorite) and she was there sticking her head inside the bag! It may seem kind of stupid, but my pet was a hermit crab. Strangely, I became attached to him. I took him out every night and morning to play with him. I used to like to watch him crawl around on things. He was sooo cute!! Unfortunately,....all
things must come to an end. He passed away this morning while moulting his "exoskeleton". When they do this, it can be very hard and energy draining to do. And,..his little body could not hold up anymore. I noticed him not moving so I picked him up to check him out. When he had no reaction, it was confirmed that he was in heaven. I know that I will see him again some day. I will always remember him. It is kind of stupid that a 14 year-old boy would cry about a crab. But, I look at this differently than other people. You see, think of the word LIFE. Only four little letters right??? WRONG!!! It is a much bigger word than you may think. Every living thing gets ONE, that is it!! Once it is done, you do not get another one. But, passing on is not always a bad thing. It is only an obstacle, once you go over it, you get to expierence a wonderful new beginning with everything that you loved and once lost. Think about that. Your pet is waiting for YOU!!!!!!!!

We got our little wolf sable Pomeranian when he was six weeks old. He was a bundle of fun with little black beady eyes. We were so fortunate to watch this little tough guy go thru life with the best attitude, no matter what happened. Several surgeries and broken bones didn't affect his attitude. He loved life and people. If dogs smile, then that was a smile that was always on his little face. 18 1/2 years just wasn't long enough. I miss him so much and hope that God, in his infinite wisdom, will reunite me with all my beloved animals and Sable will be leading the pack. We miss you Sable and love you.

Koko, Pekingese, was the daughter of our loving Mei-Ling (b. 1996). She was one of a litter of 5 and the one with the most personality so we kept her. Koko was a very pure breed and we entered her in the Black Mountain and Silver State Dog shows in 1998 and she won first prize in both as best bitch 6 months or under. We were so proud of her, we never primped and coddled her, she was just a natural adorable creature. Her and her mom grew very attached and always cried when they were apart. When my boyfriend and I broke up in 2003, knowing that we could never split them up, he took them as he could provide a more stable environment and who could they suffer for our failure. then I got a chance to be with them again for a few months in 2005 thru 2006 and found that Koko had become a mom to two adorable girls, both of which my x-bf kept. it was quite a beautiful family, grandmom, mom and the two babies. In September Koko developed a bothersome lump in her face, the vet took it out and biopsied it, said it was cancerous. Koko did well for a couple of weeks then it grew back larger and was bleeding from her scratching it. She wasn't doing so well any longer. She went to the vet last week, had surgery, horribly most of her face was removed, the cancer spread rapidly, still asleep my bf saw there was no way she could live in that condition, he called me and we both decided that, in her best interest, she should be put to sleep. it is very sad to know that she suffered and is now gone, though I am grateful she did not have to suffer too much. She is missed by both of us, her mom and her babies and will always have a beautiful place in our hearts.
to you koko - we love you and you brought a lot of joy into our lives, we only hope that we did the same for you.
to you john - thank you for being such a good dad to our babies, i couldn't think of a more loving person to care for them. you did your best and koko loved you so much.

I remember when he was mad because I was going back to work and he took my pair of shoes one by one ran outside and went to the bathroom on them. My neighbor's grandson Coleen was laughing so hard and said Bernie is peeing on Barbara's shoes.
I will miss him terribly going out to the bank and Dunkin Donuts was his favorite he loved munchkins, any kind would do.

Our buddy Bear passed away last night after being with us for almost 16 years. His partner is also remembered on this site, Kinga, June 30, 2004. Bear was the ultimate dog and best friend. I don't know if my husbands heart will ever be the same. We had gotten these dogs when we were engaged to be married 16 years ago. Bear was a great friend and companion. He had the cutest face ever in the world. We will miss him sooo much and he will never be forgotten. He was the best with our kids when they were babies, he loved them so much. Muppet has the cutest face, with a tuxedo coloring with white whiskers. And those eyes, they could melt anyone's heart. She plays with her best friend Gibson everyday. Romping, and sleeping in the sock basket is her usual fun. She only drank from the faucet, cause she is not see very well, but she was happy and comfy everyday. She and Gibson were indoor cats. She will be sadly missed everyday.

Dixie has a sister named Molly and they would play in their yard and loved to be together. When they would go the to beauty parlor they had to be n the same cage and bathed and groomed at the same time or they would howl and talk back and forth to each other and everyone n the beauty parlor (groomers) would just laugh and enjoy that. Molly and Dixie for their 6th birthday had a birthday party in their back yard with 10 dogs present 12 counting them and they wore hats and gave treat bags out and had frosty paws ice cream. Every year for their birthday I had them a party w/or w/o other dogs present and they wore hats had a hot dog off the grill and got frosty paws.
Molly and I both miss her dearly. we know you are with our daddy in heaven and your brothers c\Charles and Max - Dixie - Mollie and I both loved you very much and we will miss you for a very long time to come but you are in a better place baby girl.

Checkers, was an old Cantankerous Springer Spaniel whom I lover dearly because we had an understanding. It was a sad day when he left us but the Vet told us it was the only kind this to do because he was in pain. Whenever I sat on the floor he would come and throw himself on the floor in front of me asking for his ears to be rubbed. I used to roll him onto his back with his head on my lap and rub on his ears, his legs would pop up into the sky and he ended up looking like he was riding a bicycle in the air, he was a character like that. I miss him terribly as does my other dog Molly.
I just believe he is leaping around it the meadow over the rainbow bridge. I love you chuckles.

You were a stray that entered my garage looking for food. I fed you and then sent you on your way. Little did I know you'd be back the next day and this time refused to leave. I let you in and loved you ever since. At first you were so independent and would crack me so hard with your paw...never using your nails. I thought it was so funny. Little by little you turned into my little lovable "Holly Boo" You got sick suddenly and the doctor said you'd be fine. You did well for one week and then how you suffered my poor baby!!! I stayed with you and you died in my arms with me loving you to the end...I'll miss you my Holly Boo!!

We had alot of memories-everyday was a new one. Starwalker would greet you in the morning with little butterfly kisses. She always wanted to sit with you and snuggle. She was a black Boxer, almost 7 yrs. It was found out that someone in my apt. building killed her that day in April cause they broke in through my back door and she was protecting our home and her blind mother. When in our van, she always had to have the wind blowing in her face. She was a real snuggle bug and at bed time she had her own side of the bed with her own pillow. She wouldn't lay down to sleep until she was covered with the blanket. She was more human than most. She was very loving to me and her mother-she always cared for her mother. With my sons, she loved playing with them and snuggling. She had the Batman logo (the bat) in white on her chest and one eye. We all miss her so very much and I don't know if I'll ever get over losing her. Her mother still "looks" for her. She smells her scent but can't find her, she still cries. She was our baby! We love you Starwalker!

Princess was lost one time and she was picked up and taken to the vet shop where I found out she was at. She had crawled into the crawl spce at the vet shop and the staff was not able to get her out for a week. She had killed all the mice in the vet shop for them. She was such a good cat, never used a litter box always wanted to go outside for that. She was a hunter and would be out all night and then at 6 a.m. every morning she would meow at the door to come in. She was our alarm clock and we miss that so much now.

She was my friend and companion I miss her very much. I never forgot to say good morning and goodnight to her.
On May 1st 2006 my dear friend and companion Kohl who was with me since she was a kitten of 4 months old needed to be put to sleep she was 1 month shy of 19 years. She was suffering and it was the hardest thing for me to let her go. I have never lost anything so close to me before. My parents anniversary is also that day they were married 52 years. Kohl and I moved here from New Jersey in July of 2005, but the loss of her is making me move back to our home in New Jersey. She meant everything to me I miss her very much, she will always be with me in spirit and one day we will see one another on Rainbow Bridge an me together again. I love you and miss you Kohl.
Kohl was my cat for almost 19years, we are from new jersey we moved to Florida and she started suffering, she died on may 01 2006 I miss her very much, she meant everything to me. We moved back to New Jersey recently and she is still with me in spirit, Kohl mommy misses you.

My Hunter Buck was a beautiful fawn Akita. He was my best friend for 12 years.
Our family was lucky to have him that long. He loved to lay at the edge of the
ocean and smell the salt water, he loved to lay in the river on hot summer days
and he loved to play chase with his "brother" Tucker. He is survived by Tucker
(Husky/golden mix), Rascal, Chipper and Stewart all american short haired cats
and P.Diddy the cockatiel who actually got away with biting Hunter on the nose.
He was passed in death by Zippy cat, our cat who had black lips and black around
his eyes so dark it looked like it was drawn on with eyeliner. He is greatly
missed but we know he is watching out for us in heaven has he always did here on
earth. He was my Honey Bun. He is home now taking his place by our Lord. He is
missed every second of every hour of every day and will be forever. Bye shuggie,

Snowflake was always a tricky rabbit. When we first adopted him, he was a huggy
bunny and three days later he became feisty. Contrary to common thought, this
made us love him even more. Our Snowflake was an adorable white Hotot rabbit
with little dots on his ears and a black ring around his eye. He used to follow
my husband around the room when he cleaned the bunny room and commonly nudged
your foot and rubbed his little furry body against your toes when you sat on the
couch. My husband found him already...gone in his litterbox with his mate lying
next to him. His death was completely unexpected, and we mourn his death.....We
love you little Snowflake!

My Beethoven Marie came into my life as a 4 week old kitten. I was up every 2-3
hours to feed her, mind you I was only 13 years old then. We grew up together,
travelled the country together, lived life to the fullest, my best friend and
daughter. She saw me though all the great events in a girls life. We were only
apart my freshman year of college and I had to call at least every other day to
talk to her or she would get sad. We were connected in a very deep and unique
way. I know we read each others mind. She would wake me up every single morning
with her wet nose all over my face. That was something no one could sleep
through. She took care of me as much as I took care of her. Through the years we
adopted her sister Tasha and her sister Annabelle. She welcomed them in her own
way, but made sure they know she was the Queen, and now she has passed the
mantle over to Tasha. She made her decision that it was time to go and without
warning, her kidneys stopped and made the decision to send her home with Jesus,
the best one for her. She hugged me twice before going and purred the whole way
home. I know she is there now playing and waiting for the rest of us to join
her. She was, and is, loved by her mommy, sisters, uncle and grandparents very
very much!

sent you on your way. Little did I know you'd be back the next day and this time
refused to leave. I let you in and loved you ever since. At first you were so
independent and would crack me so hard with your paw...never using your nails. I
thought it was so funny. Little by little you turned into my little lovable
"Holly Boo" You got sick suddenly and the doctor said you'd be fine. You did
well for one week and then how you suffered my poor baby!!! I stayed with you

We had alot of memories-everyday was a new one. Starwalker would greet you in
the morning with little butterfly kisses. She always wanted to sit with you and
snuggle. She was a black Boxer, almost 7 yrs. It was found out that someone in
my apt. building killed her that day in April cause they broke in through my
back door and she was protecting our home and her blind mother. When in our van,
she always had to have the wind blowing in her face. She was a real snuggle bug
and at bed time she had her own side of the bed with her own pillow. She
wouldn't lay down to sleep until she was covered with the blanket. She was more
human than most. She was very loving to me and her mother-she always cared for
her mother. With my sons, she loved playing with them and snuggling. She had the
Batman logo (the bat) in white on her chest and one eye. We all miss her so very
much and I don't know if I'll ever get over losing her. Her mother still "looks"
for her. She smells her scent but can't find her, she still cries. She was our
baby! We love you Starwalker!

On May 1st 2006 my dear friend and
companion Kohl who was with me since she was a kitten of 4 months old needed to
be put to sleep she was 1 month shy of 19 years. She was suffering and it was

me before. My parents anniversary is also that day they were married 52 years.
Kohl and I moved here from New Jersey in July of 2005, but the lose of her is

Trooper was a great swimmer and loved our pool. I miss him running around it like a crazy dog and barking his head off. He loved to play ball down our side yard. We just lost our beloved "Trooper" on 1/10/06. We chose a private cremation for him thru your company. I was touched by the compassion and sympathy that I received from you. Cassi was my Heart & Soul. She was my first Irish Setter puppy and I searched for 6 months to find her. She was always happy. She was my sunshine and my happiness. She made me get up every morning whether I wanted to or not. I loved getting up with her even if I was tired. I loved on her and kissed her every day and told her how much I loved her. Cassi was the bright spot in my life. She always smiled at you and she gave me "Loves", little hugs where she would come and climbed in my lap and lay her head up on my shoulder near my face. I miss her so much.
When I would come out of the shower she was always there on the end of the bed waiting for me. She was so happy to see me each and every day of her short 11 years. Her whole body would wiggle when she was excited. She knew my moods and when I was upset she would come to me and nudge my face to tell me it was okay. If I sneezed or coughed she would raise her head to see if I was okay. She was the best dog I have ever loved and a part of my heart went with her. She was My Sassy Cassi. My sweet baby girl. She only wanted her "Mommy" and no one else. Daddy was a temporary replacement when necessary, but I was her soul mate and she mine. Outside when we would play she loved the tennis ball. She would hide it in plain sight and the other dogs would run over and take it away. She would look at me as if to say "Hey how did they find it?" When she got excited her tail would go straight up in the air and her beautiful ears would come to the top of her head. She would be smiling away. She loved everyone and everyone loved her too. She was just like that. I look forward to the day when we are reunited in Heaven. There will be a lot of dancing and crying all the day as we celebrate our reunion. Taz IS the cutest, best, most loving, friendliest dog. I say IS because he will always be in our hearts. Just because we cant see him physically anymore does not mean we don't still love him every day. He was full of adventure and ready for a new one every day. Taz would jump up on the door and bark at you if he had to go potty and you did not move fast enough. He would bring my fiancé the ball and put it on the reclined part of the chair and if my fiancé didn't throw it quick enough he would bite his feet. He loved playing catch with you. He would jump up and down when he heard the keys jangle because he knew more times then not he would be taking a ride. He loved riding on the console of the car or SUV so he could see what was going on. When you told him it was time to go to bed he would open up his cage himself and get inside. We would get so upset when he chewed up cords to things but I would let him chew up anything and everything he wanted if I could have him back.
I never thought that I personally would be one of those people that felt this way about an animal but I do. My children, my fiancé and I think about him everyday. We don't want to come home because it all feels like a bad dream, I think I am going to still see him. I know we will never forget or stop loving him and I hope he never forgets or stops loving us. I know he walked over that bridge ready for his next adventure. We love you Taz so, so much. Thank you for coming into our lives and bringing us so much joy.
I was always the one that couldn't believe people actually took their dogs to the hospital or spent so much money on them when they were sick, until I met Tazzy. Taz came into my life when my fiancé John and I got back together after being apart for a year. John got Tazzy in April 2005 and he moved to Tampa, FL from Naples about July 2005 to be with me. I was apprehensive at first about the "sleeping on the bed" with us and I would get so mad when he would chew up chords, but those big brown eyes always made me forget the bad things he had done and I even succumbed to letting him get on my bed. Tazzy was so sweet and friendly and smart. He would open up his cage at night by himself and just get in and lay down when we would turn out the lights. He jumped up on the door when he had to go to the bathroom and would bark at you as if to say "Hurry up, I have to go" if you took to long. He loved to play ball with you and would bring the ball to my fiancé when he was sitting in the recliner and put the ball between his feet and if he didn't throw the ball fast enough Tazzy would bite his feet. He would somehow always get his collar stuck in his mouth. Tazzy went to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2006. We don't know what happened. He wasn't acting right one day and was acting like he had a stiff neck and the next night he was winching and crying out in pain. I took him to the vet and they gave him anti-inflammatory meds and sent him home. Three hours after I brought him home he had to go back. I awoke to a heart wrenching howling, crying out in pain sound from him. He passed away 4 hours later and the vet cant tell me why. I have so much guilt and sadness thinking if I had done something sooner he would still be here. He was to sweet and cute and to young for something to happen to him when he never had any previous health problems. I miss him everyday and would have spend my life savings to help him. I would let him chew up any cord he wanted. It has only been a week but I don't think I will ever get over losing him, and I definitely will never love any pet as much as I love Tazzy. Traci

Bunny Rabbit came to me quite by surprise. My teenage son brought him home from a friend who no longer wanted him. He was 6 months old and I fell in love with him the first time I saw him. He was malnourished and his rib cage stood out plainly thru his fur. I fed him and nurtured him and he began to thrive. I soaked up all the knowledge I could about bunnies. He became my best bud for many years. He was litter box trained and house trained. He had full run of the house after he learned not to chew (at about 9 months) and slept in my bedroom. When my alarm would go off in the morning he would jump up in the bed and lick my face until I got up. I nursed him thru many illnesses, and he shared his bunny kisses with me when I was sad. God blessed me with a precious companion. He was my family and I miss him each moment of every day. I can hardly wait to get to The Rainbow Bridge and get some bunny kisses.

My beautiful little Pomeranian Ginger, ( GG for short), went to doggie heaven this morning. She devoted her life to us for 12 and a half years. She was my spoiled baby, the love of my life, my companion, my friend, my adoration. She was the most lovable little dog, everyone who came in contact with her, immediately feel in love with her. She loved people and would wag her tail a mile a minute when someone would even look at her. Her reddish/Ginger color was always so shiny and fluffy. Petting her was like petting a cotton ball. It has been 3 months since Pepper has passed on. I look back at all the pictures of Pepper I had taken over 2 hundred .from a pup to a few days before he passed on. It's been very hard. Pepper gave me what no one else could, true love. Someone who always there always in the good times and the bad. We both shared many treasured times together that will always hold a place deep in my heart . Pepper was not just a dog, he was a friend
Pepper was a Miniature Schnauzer that anyone who saw him fell in love with. My vet often told me the bond Pepper and I had was very strong. Pepper shared and loved going for his walks at night, the time we spent playing with his toys or going for a drive looking out the window. Pepper loved children and was very protective of them. We had some tough times along the way but we managed to get through them. Pepper's health slowly started to go. But I wasn't going to give up on him. I spent what ever it took to make him better. I knew and Pepper knew one day we would lose the battle. It was decided I was not going to let him suffer if it came down to where he could not live a good life. I lost my mother to ALS at age 67. Before my mother passed she told me when Pepper passes a part of you will go with him. He is your blood, without him you won't be able to function. She has been right, but I promised Pepper we would always be together no matter what. I bought a Miniature Schnauzer puppy before Pepper became ill so he would have company. The puppy would lay next to Pepper and rest his head on him. He knew things were not right. I asked Pepper before Christmas to be with me for Christmas so we could open gifts together. He looked into my eyes and licked my face, then put his head down. I broke down in tears. Dec.1st 2005 at 1pm Pepper passed away. My puppy has not been the same since and life just seems to hold no joy any more. Pepper I love you baby and miss you more than anyone can ever know.

BONKERS WAS ONE OF A KIND. SHE WAS GIVEN TO ME OVER 11 YEARS AGO. WHEN I GOT HER SHE HAD NO EYES. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAID THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT BUT DIDN'T GO INTO DETAILS. SCARED AND AND SHAKING I PICKED HER UP AND SHE AUTOMATICALLY STOPPED SHAKING. I KNEW AT THAT POINT SHE FELT SAFE WITH ME. SHE WAS MY DAUGHTER AND MY BEST FRIEND. SHE MOTHERED HER OWN PUPPIES, THE BABY CHICKS, GOATS AND KITTENS THAT I HAD. SHE LOVED WEARING DOGGIE CLOTHING AND LOVED HAVING BOWS IN HER HAIR. WHEN I WAS SAD SHE SAT RIGHT NEXT TO ME AND OFTEN PUT HER PAWS ON MY LAP TO SAY ITS OK MOM. SHE WENT EVERYWHERE WITH ME. TO SCHOOL TO MY SISTERS 7 HOURS AWAY. I REMEMBER ONE YEAR I WENT TO MY SISTERS AND LEFT HER AT HOME. I WOULD CALL AND ASK ABOUT MS B. MY HUSBAND WOULD TELL ME THAT SHE HAS BEEN UNDER YOUR BED SINCE YOU LEFT AND WONT COME OUT. WHEN I GOT HOME AND CALLED HER NAME SHE SHOT OUT FROM UNDER THE BED JUMPING AND WAKING HER TAIL. SHE WAS DEVOTED TO ME AND ME TO HER. WHEN SHE DIED MY HEART WENT INTO PIECES. AND 6 MONTHS LATER IT HURTS AS MUCH AS IT DID THE DAY SHE DIED. I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING IN THE WORLD TO SEE HER ONE MORE TIME, KISS HER ON THE HEAD, HOLD HER AND SAY MY GOODBYES SINCE I DIDN'T GET TOO. You were/are the love of my life and what love you brought me. Why you gave me such unconditional love I will never know: I told you my deepest secrets and thoughts and you loved me anyway. You helped me through some rough times in my life. So many things we did the 14 ˝ years we were together – my world revolved around you. I miss you so much My Forever Friend and am grateful you are no longer suffering.
Make friends, run in the fields, chase squirrels, bask in the sunlight, take lots of naps on mile-high pillows, eat plenty of dog biscuits, go for joyrides, wag that tail and dance around, be loyal and if someone needs you lie close and nuzzle them gently.

Shadow, you were the sweetest cat that there ever was. I wish I could have been with you for your last moments; it makes me cry each time I remember that you were cold and alone. I wish I could have been able to say goodbye. I miss seeing you gallop across the lawn to greet me each time I come home and petting your silky fur each time you would plop at my feet for attention. Your daddy even misses you sleeping on his side of the bed each night!
Your brother, Pepper, misses you too. He keeps looking around the corners of the house and in your favorite hiding places in hopes that you will be there. Although he wishes that you were still here, he has become very attentive to your dad and me. He knows that we are sad and he is trying to comfort us.

What Cheyenne was lacking in looks, she made up for in personality! She fought a long battle with breast cancer and subsequently metastasis. She was my best friend and the most lovable yellow lab. Everyone that met her fell in love with my gentle puppy. She has been gone 1 week and I miss her terribly, she left me on new years eve and all I can think is there must have been one fantastic party at the rainbow bridge that night. Cheyenne, thank you for being my friend and companion for all of these years, I love you very much.
